Strategic testing of Organisational Talent and Leadership

As part of our recruitment service Balanced People can offer our clients the opportunity to assess Candidates in the area of leadership and management competencies in addition to their technical skills.

Balanced People offers access to a large variety of ability tests, role plays and general assessment tools. These tools are either administered on the client site or in some cases can be completed online.

We can offer these services as an integrated part of our recruitment service or as a separate consultancy service for your business.

The Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ)The SHL Occupational Personality Questionnaire is one of the most widely used measures of behavioural style in the world, and is designed solely for use in a business environment. The OPQ model provides a clear, simple framework for understanding the role of personality in the workplace and the impact it has on job performance. This online system can be administered worldwide and provides a variety of reports suited to your specific needs.

We will be able to advise which report types would best address your specific needs and that the correct norm groups are identified in order to ensure a fair and reliable assessment.

The extensive range of tests that we offer ensures that we are able to assess different functions and levels within organisations. Other examples include:

  • Verbal, Numerical and Inductive Reasoning
  • IT Skills including Excel
  • Management / Supervisory potential

Analysis and reports are provided by qualified test administrators and analysts who are registered with the British Psychological Society.

An organisation’s specific requirements will need to be assessed before recommendations can be made as to the most appropriate test or assessment to use. Competency Framework & Interview document

The support that Balanced People provide can be tailored to the particular needs of your organisation. Activities can include:

  • Conducting a role/job analysis, identifying the key outputs, skills and competencies.
  • Drafting Role Specification documents to assist with recruitment and candidate assessment.
  • Drafting Competency Based Interview guides (CBI) to assist with the evidence based assessment of competencies in an interview setting.
