My client, a trendy multi-site retail & import business, is looking for a Management Accountant to join the accounts team. This is a full time, permanent role that will most likely suit someone part-qualified.

Key responsibilities are likely to include some or all of the following:

• Completing VAT returns
• Assisting with annual / quarterly budgeting
• Assisting with quarterly management reporting
• Responsible for day-to-day recording & reconciliation of retail income
• Credit control
• Purchase ledger
• Other general ledger operations including bank reconciliations

Key skills required:

• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices; basic technical accounting skills.
• Ideally part-qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, etc) or holding a related university qualification
• Experience working with an accounting software, ideally Sage
• Advanced computer skills, particularly Excel
• Ability to work well within in a small team
• Professional and friendly tone in correspondence
• Able to work without supervision and set an example of customer service and professionalism within the accounts team
• Demonstrated aptitude for follow through
• A genuine commitment to being helpful and nice to everyone who needs assistance
