Contract Financial Controller - PB11325

Our client is a highly successful and prestigious retailer and one of the leading brands within their sector. They are very profitable and are planning an ambitious international expansion programme.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, commercial, financial professional. The person who will be successful in this role will have a can-do attitude and will be a practical yet strong leader.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team focusing on the financial control of the business including working with the Auditors and managing the year end close
• Challenge and participate in commercial decision making, contributing to 3 – 5 year business plans and strategies
• Prepare new store board packs and other investment proposals and associated post investment reviews
• Lead budgeting, planning & forecasting processes providing good cash flow management
• Contribute to and lead projects on an ad hoc basis

The Person:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong technical and commercial experience
• Proven track record of value add and previous experience in retail or fast paced consumer businesses
• Excellent communication skills and team management experience
